Hallo, Ihr Lieben - American Nails hat sich dem derzeit immer noch aktuellen Taupe und Nude-/Greige Trend angeschlossen und unter dem Namen *Make Up* eine dreiteilige, limitierte Serie gelauncht. Naked Starlet ist ein taupefarbener Ton, der einen winzigen Stich ins Mauve hat. Er ist heller und transparenter als z. B. Prince Charming/Orly. Hier in drei Schichten aufgetragen...

Naked Starlet is the taupest shade of the collection, with a little touch to Mauve. It is brighter and more sheer as Prince Charming/Orly. This are 3 layers...




Blush Powder ist der deckendste der drei Nagellacke und ein cremiges, helles Pastell-Pfirsich. Damit er sich wirklich perfekt auf die Nägel legt, sind drei Schichten unbedingt notwendig. Wichtig bei Creme-Tönen: mit leichter Hand lackieren und unbedingt genügend Farbe auf den Pinsel nehmen, damit durch den Druck die untere(n) Schicht(en) wieder angelöst werden!

Blush Powder is the most opaque polish and a creamy, bright pastel peach. For perfect results you must apply 3 coats. Important: polish with light hand and make sure you have enough polish on the brush or otherwise with too much pressure or too less colour on you will damage the layers underneath!




Am besten gefällt mir Sparkling Champagne - ein helles Sand, nicht zu beige, nicht zu Rosa! Ein toller Farbton, der zu den meisten Hauttönen paßt! Bei diesem Ton erzielen Sie schon mit 2 Schichten ein Super-Ergebnis!

My favourite in this collection is this - Sparkling Champagne, a bright sand, not too boring beige, not too rose! A shade which matches the most skin shades! With this colour also two layers are great!

Fazit - für alle, die eine Alternative zu klassischen Nude-Lacken möchten, sind diese drei Töne mit dem feinen Sparkling Effekt perfekt und alles andere als langweilig! Wie gefallen sie Euch?

CHANEL Nouvelle Vague

Hallo, Ihr Lieben - ich glaube, Ihr sehnt Euch derzeit genau wie ich nach Sommer und Sonne, oder? Leider ist davon nicht viel zu sehen, aber wenigstens können wir ihn, den Vermißten, auf unseren Nägeln tragen.

CHANEL läßt sich diesen Sommer von leuchtenden, tropischen Früchten und türkisblauem Meerwasser inspirieren und verführt mit Farben wie 'Nouvelle Vague':



Da die CHANEL-Nagellacke aufgrund ihrer Haltbarkeit mich nicht so sehr überzeugen, zeige ich Euch hier meine persönliche Alternative und Favoriten: China Glaze For Audrey, ein deckender und cremiger Farbton, der dem Tiffany-Türkis sehr nahe kommt und eine Hommage an Audrey Hepburn in Frühstück bei Tiffany ist:



Wie alle China Glaze Nagellacke läßt sich auch dieser unkompliziert auftragen, empfehlenswert ist als Unterlack ein Rillenfüller, da dieser den Lack besonders gleichmäßig fließen läßt. Bereits mit zwei Schichten erhaltet Ihr ein ordentliches, deckendes Ergebnis, ich habe hier drei Farbschichten + Unter- und Überlack lackiert. Das Einzige, was ich mir wünschen würde, wäre ein etwas breiterer Pinsel. Trocknungszeit ist für die Farbdichte gut, ungefähr 15 Minuten für alle Schichten zusammen!

Hi and hello - do you feel the desire to summer as well as me? I am soo bored by our cold and rainy weather here! But thanks god we CAN have summer - on our nails, isn't it?

CHANEL inspired us this summer with colours of bright, tropical fruits and turqoise sea water directly imported of the Caribbean - see here the new, limited shade 'Nouvelle Vague'.

I am not really a fan of CHANEL nail polishes, because they are not holding what they promise, especially the lasting on the nails is not the best. But I have a personal alternate to you and one of my all-time summer favourites - China Glaze For Audrey, a not new, but great opaque, creamy Turquoise. It is a tribute to Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany and remains to the special Tiffany shade of their CI.

Like all the China Glaze nail polishes it is quite easy to apply, you get good results after two layers, here I polished 3 + Base and Top Coat. For a perfect result I prefer Ridge Filler as a base, it makes the creamy and dense colour flawless. The drying time is for all layers with 15 minutes pretty good. The only thing I wish they would change is the brush: especially the creamy shades are much more easier to handle with a more bride brush.

Nagellack der Woche/Polish of the Week: American Nails Spring Tulip

Liebe Nagellack-Verliebten/Dear polish lovers,

Um diesen Schatz geht es heute/this is the polish of today:



Ab sofort zeige ich Euch von Zeit zu Zeit meine Lieblingslacke. Heute ist es einer von American Nails, nämlich die Farbe 2507 'Spring Tulip'. Ich weiß nicht, ob sie tatsächlich so heißt, da nicht alle Firmen allen Lacken Namen geben, ich glaube, mich zu erinnern, dass ich diesen hier selbst 'kreiert' habe.

Ich hatte in einem früheren Post geschrieben, dass hellere Lacke normalerweise nicht so mein Geschmack sind, aber ich LIEBE Nagellacke, die zweifarbig bzw. Duochrome leuchten. Und dieser zählt absolut dazu! Mich fasziniert an diesem Lack der pfirsichfarbene Rosa-Ton, der wie ein Sonnenstrahl goldfarben schimmert!

Das Lackieren der American Nails Nagellacke ist wie immer unkompliziert, hier in drei Schichten mit Unter- und Überlack aufgetragen. Die Pinsel von AN sind genau richtig, nicht zu dick, nicht zu dünn, die Pinselhaare etwas länger als bei anderen Herstellern, was das Auftragen deutlich erleichtert und die Haar-Spuren an der Lackoberfläche verringert.

Und - wie gefällt er Euch? Tragt Ihr Duochrome-Lacke? Wenn ja, was gefällt Euch daran? Oder wenn nicht - warum nicht?

Starting now I show you from time to time my favourite polishes. This one is #2507 from American Nails, called 'Spring Tulip'. I remember, that I gave this polish its name - not every brand give to the colours also a name, so this is my creation!

I wrote in a former post, that I am not really a fan of brighter colours, but I LOVE and could die for Duochrome colours like this and its one of my all-time favourites! It reminds and fascinate me on a peach coloured, blooming spring flower, hitted by a flash of sunlight...

The polishing with this was like always with American Nails easy and quick, here in three layers with Base and Top Coat. The brushes of American Nails are perfect, not too thick, not too thin. The length of the bristles are a bit longer than regular, which provides an easy and smooth application without visible strikes on the polish surface.

And what are you saying - do you like the colour? What about Duochrome? If yes, what you like especially? And if not - why not?

ORLY Prince Charming
ist sehr nah am Original, nur eine winzige Spur heller und kühler. Wie immer bei ORLY läßt sich der Lack einfach auftragen, deckt vernünftig und eine normale Trocknungszeit!
is very close to Particuliere, just a hint brighter and cooler. Like always this ORLY polish is easy to apply, offers a good opacity and a normal drying time!

OPI Over the Taupe
ist der Ton, der dem Original am nächsten kommt - was sagt Ihr: erkennt Ihr einen Unterschied?
is the shade which is closest to the Original - what is your opinion: Do you see any difference?

OPI You Don't Know Jacques!
ist etwas dunkler und grauer, trotzdem eine Superfarbe, um den Taupe-Trend zu ergänzen!
is a bit darker and more greyish, but besides this a beautiful colour to wear the Taupe trend!

Was sagt Ihr? Gefällt Euch der Trend? Ist CHANEL Eurer Meinung nach den z. Zt. auf ebay gehandelten Preis von ca. 60 Euro wert oder findet Ihr die Alternativen gleichwertig?
